We Build Ours Better
This Is Why Our Barns Are Better
Pole barns are much more cost effective than a stick build garage, and with our premium systems designed to last many generations, they are better built too.
Pole barns are also a much quicker build opposed to standard stick framing. Many of our barns can be installed in just 1 month from ground breaking to completion!
A proper designed pole barn can be much sturdier than a many other options. With all of our jobs being permitted, its guaranteed to last a long time!
With efficient systems like, an excavation team, a column setting team, a framing team, a steel finish team, and all the subcontractors for the cement work, electrical, hvac, plumbing, etc, we can guarantee a seamless process for you on your dream barn!
We build homes that last a lifetime and beyond. We understand that your home is more than just a structure; it’s a legacy you’re building. That’s why we don’t cut corners with materials.
You’ve probably seen others using wooden posts that deteriorate over time due to soil moisture. We do things differently. Our homes are built with Brute Force Brackets made of quarter-inch steel and grade 40 rebar. These materials are not just strong; they’re timeless, enduring long past our own years.
And there’s a bonus – these sturdy brackets are quicker to install than the old wooden posts. This means less waiting for you, fewer hitches along the way, and a smooth journey to moving day.
In our quest to build the perfect home for you, we’ve searched far and wide for materials that match our high standards. It’s not just about building houses; it’s about creating homes that stand proud through generations.
That’s why we call ourselves the Barn Bosses. It’s a name that speaks of our commitment to quality, a promise we make to you with every home we build. We’re more than builders; we’re caretakers of your dreams.

Why do we recommend shingles instead of steel roofing?
We recommend high quality 50-year lifetime shingles because of their 25–30-year warranty. Steel roofs use rubber O-rings. Michigan has harsh winters that will cause them to deteriorate quicker and cause leaking. With the high-quality shingles there are no O-rings to leak so you can enjoy your barn more and worry less.
What size garage door do you recommend?
We recommend adding 14’ doors to accommodate most RVs and campers.
What height should my barn be?
We recommend at least 16’ to accommodate the 14’ doors.
Will post rot in the ground?
Any ground contact wood will eventually rot. We use Perma-Columns which eliminates wood in the ground.
What is a Perma-Column?
They are precast concrete posts with a strength of 10,000 psi. normal concrete has a strength of 2,500 psi. They carry a lifetime warranty and keep the wood posts out of the ground to eliminate the chance of rot.
What heat source should I use in my barn?
We recommend In-floor radiant heat. It distributes heat evenly where installed. This will offer more control of the heat in your barn. The initial costs of installation may be more than alternatives, but it often provides cost savings in the long run with lower energy bills.
What are my options for doors?
Sliding pole barn doors- With sliding doors it requires you to unlock and open the door each time just to access the building. Sliding doors often do not seal completely which can expose your building to dirt, insects, animals, and add to heating/cooling problems.
Roll up doors- They are strong and durable. Also, they are easy to operate and have low maintenance. Usually costs about the same as an overhead door without the benefit of remote controls of larger doors. They are usually less customizable and less aesthetically pleasing.
Overhead door- They offer the most protection for your building, equipment, and supplies you keep in it. They seal and add weather resistance to provide the best temperature control and moisture prevention for your building.
We recommend the overhead doors.
What insulation do you recommend?
We recommend closed cell spray foam. It creates an airtight seal and fills all gaps. This adds to temperature control and noise reduction. It is very durable, resistant to water damage, mold, and pests. It also does not lose R-value like fiberglass insulation. It can last decades without being replaced.
